The technologist will operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases or injuries, which includes preparing patients and ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed. Key duties involve setting up and operating radiographic equipment, selecting proper ionizing factors, positioning patients, processing film, and maintaining required records and equipment quality control checks.
Candidates must complete an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology Level I and must obtain ARRT certification within one year of employment, along with holding a current BLS certification. The role requires performing various technical tasks related to diagnostic imaging procedures in an orthopedic clinic setting.
