The technologist operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians to aid in diagnosis or treatment. Responsibilities include executing radiologic procedures, selecting appropriate settings, developing treatment plans, and ensuring the safety and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
Minimum requirements include completion of a Radiology Technology Program and obtaining ARRT(R) registration, with BLS certification required within 14 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree and demonstrated understanding of radiologic principles and organizational skills.
