The Medication Aide is responsible for setting up and administering resident medications according to physician orders and professional standards, potentially supervising Certified Nursing Assistants as directed. Duties also include providing personal hygiene assistance, serving meals, feeding patients, and maintaining patient stability by checking vital signs and recording necessary data.
The primary requirement is to be licensed in the specific state as a Medication Aide and maintain current, unencumbered licensure. The role involves extensive direct patient care activities, including medication management and activities of daily living support.
