The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing routine and emergent echocardiograms, including 2-dimensional, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiograms, following established guidelines. Services must be provided at all necessary locations, requiring work on variable shifts, weekends as needed, and emergent call coverage.
Required qualifications include being a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer, along with certification in Pediatric Echocardiography or being a Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer. Candidates must have a degree from Cardiovascular Sonography or an Associate's Degree in Allied Health, plus a minimum of one year of clinical ultrasound experience.
