Requirements summary

Job description
Responsible for preparing and operating x-ray equipment during diagnostic patient exams while exercising procedures safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis
Principal Accountabilities
1.
Prepares equipment for imaging tests, based on physicians' orders and in adherence to department safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results.
2.
Prepares patient and performs radiology procedures.
3.
Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques with scope of practice such as basic CPR, vital signs, visual acuity, electrocardiogram, wound care including suture set-up, orthopedic splinting, Point of Care testing, assisting with eye and ear irrigation, blood glucose checks and throat swab specimen collection and responding appropriately to emergency situations.

Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.
5.
Performs incidental general office duties to include; answering phone; scheduling; filing; maintaining patient records; ordering supplies.
