Required: Must hold a current Georgia Paramedic License. Must be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support and must maintain certification at all times with no lapse. Must maintain a valid Georgia Drivers License and maintain a driving record that meets the requirements set forth by the Hospital Driving Policy. Must be aware and follow current Federal and Georgia laws with regards to emergency medical services. Must meet Hospital requirements for criminal background check.

Conditions: Must be able to use visual near and distance acuity. Must have verbal ability to communicate in person and over the phone or radio. Must be able to assist co-workers in transfers and transport of supplies and/or equipment using good body mechanics. Must have functional range of motion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines, upper and lower extremities with a grip strength based upon the specific job evaluation levels. Must be able to forward reach, overhead reach, bend, squat, kneel and change from one position to the other rapidly. Must be able to lift 50-80# and carry 50-80# specific to the job evaluation level for their position. If job class is classified under POPE D, must pass the cardiac recovery test. Must be able to tolerate high noise, busy atmospheres and noxious odors. Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations in all weather conditions . Must be able to assess and respond to multiple situations simultaneously. Must be able to assist co-workers in multiple overlapping tasks simultaneously.
