Assist the physician in conducting treatments and procedures, including vital signs and documentation. Prepare patients for treatments and monitor them for adverse reactions after injections.
A graduate of an accredited LPN nursing program is required, along with a minimum of one year of experience in a medical office or hospital setting. A Florida LPN license and a BLS card from AHA are also required.
Assist physician conducting treatments and procedures. Demonstrates compe tence in ordered treatments including but not limited to vital signs, documentation, inserting, irrigating and removing urinary catheter, administering injections and monitoring patient for adverse reactions after injections, prepares patient for treatments and procedures, assists with minor dressing and wound care utilizing proper sterile/clean technique and infection control. Performs data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on the physiological, psychological, and cognitive status of each patient assigned using assessment sheets. Reports findings to the RN.
