The Pediatric Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including routine exams, treatments, and surgical procedures, for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special needs. Key duties involve utilizing appropriate behavior management techniques, educating patients and parents, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Candidates must possess a DDS or DMD degree and have completed an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program, along with holding an active Louisiana dental license. Preferred qualifications include being board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Dentistry and having experience or willingness to treat patients with special healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive dental care to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special needs Perform routine exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and radiographs Diagnose and treat dental conditions including caries, infections, and dental trauma Deliver restorative and surgical procedures such as fillings, crowns, pulpotomies, and extractions Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques to ensure a positive patient experience Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive dental care Develop and present individualized treatment plans in a clear and compassionate manner Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative team members to ensure efficient patient flow and high standards of care Uphold all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
– Pediatric Dentist (Louisiana) DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program Active and unrestricted Louisiana dental license Eligible to practice pediatric dentistry in the state of Louisiana Board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Dentistry (preferred) Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, as required for pediatric dental sedation (if applicable) Experience with or willingness to treat patients with special healthcare needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry.
