Responsible for collecting blood samples via venipuncture or capillary puncture while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Additionally handles urine specimens, throat cultures, and related clerical tasks.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education. Must be capable of performing clinical specimen collection and verification of medical necessity.
Responsible for collecting blood samples from patients by venipuncture or capillary puncture assuming responsibility for their safety and comfort. Aquires urine specimens and throat cultures, orders tests, and verifies medical necessity on outpatients. Performs clerical and other duties as assigned.
