The Senior Pharmacy Technician supports various aspects of pharmacy operations, including prescription order entry and medication preparation. This role also involves handling controlled substances and communicating with patients.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida or a Compact State. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant practice setting is required.
The Senior Pharmacy Technician supports various aspects of pharmacy operations, including prescription order entry, claim adjudication, medication preparation and dispensing, distribution, non-sterile and sterile compounding, inventory management, and the use of automated pharmacy devices and equipment. This role also involves handling controlled substances, communicating with patients, and maintaining assigned work areas. The Senior Pharmacy Technician assesses the age-specific needs of patients and performs all responsibilities in compliance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values, as well as state and federal regulations.
High School Diploma or GED Registered Pharmacy Technician - License/Registration issued by Florida or Compact State Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered pharmacy technician in a relevant practice setting. Proficiency in the core systems and tools utilized within the practice setting.
