The LVN provides direct nursing and psychiatric care to patients, including monitoring physical and emotional well-being and administering prescribed medications. They collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to document progress and support overall recovery and rehabilitation plans.
Candidates must have completed an LVN program, hold a current California Board of Vocational Nursing license, and possess at least one year of experience as an LVN. Strong communication skills and experience working with diverse populations are required.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Tatum Psychology Employment Group provides direct nursing care and support to patients. Under the supervision of the Lead Nurse, the LVN will work within the LVN scope of practice, including monitoring patients’ physical and emotional well-being, administering prescribed treatments and medications, and documenting patient care activities. The LVN will support recovery and rehabilitation, while promoting a safe, therapeutic, and respectful care environment. The LVN will collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams, observe and report patient behaviors, assist with medical procedures, and contribute to the overall treatment plan.
Performs other duties as may be assigned. Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners. EDUCATION: Completion of LVN program LICENSURE: Current License Registration with the California Board of Vocational Nursing. RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as an LVN. SKILLS: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. OTHER EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED: Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations. Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization. Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions. Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance. Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity on the job with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Demonstrated ability to organize time and other resources to perform multiple tasks. Proficiency in word processing and database and/or spreadsheet applications. Physical and mental attributes sufficient to perform essential functions.
