The role involves performing CT and MRI examinations as ordered by physicians, ensuring quality control, and preparing exams for radiologist interpretation. Additionally, the technologist is responsible for patient communication, education, and maintaining safety protocols.
Candidates must be graduates of a Radiology Technology Program and registered as a Radiographer by the ARRT, with a valid Ohio Radiological License. Prior experience as a CT/MRI Technologist is preferred, along with effective communication skills and current CPR certification.
Communicates pertinent clinical information to appropriate members of the patient care team & department personnel. Keeps patient / family appraised / updated. Establishes and maintains strong positive communication with patients and families.
Confers with Registered Nurses and physicians relative to procedure and patient preparation.
