The Electroencephalography Technician is responsible for recording electrical impulses from the brain using an electroencephalograph and applying electrodes to the patient's scalp. Additional duties include operating and maintaining specialized equipment, monitoring physician orders, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and 1-3 years of previous EEG experience. Preferred qualifications include graduation from an accredited electrodiagnostic technology program and eligibility for ABRET registration.
