Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing an electroencephalograph to record electrical impulses from the brain; applying electrodes to predetermined positions on the patient’s scalp Take and verify recordings.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, and adjust specialized equipment.
• Monitor, transcribe physician orders, and perform other support duties, including but not limited to paging physicians.
• Obtain insurance pre-certification.
• Arrange for home and medical care and coordinate desk activities.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. One to three (1-3) years of previous EEG experience. Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia.

• Requirements: Graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program, with some college-level coursework. Eligible for or currently registered by ABRET. One (1) year of experience in the specialty.
