The Mammography Technologist is responsible for the mammography program and patient care, working closely with the Radiologist and Medical Staff. Key tasks include performing mammograms, assisting with breast biopsies, and ensuring compliance with safety and accreditation guidelines.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited program and possess Texas State Licensure along with Mammography Advanced Certification. No prior work experience is required, but continuing education credits must be maintained.
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for the mammography program and care of patients in this area. This person works in conjunction with the Radiologist and Medical Staff in providing an effective breast cancer detection system. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education: Graduate of Accredited Progam, registered by the ARRT or other recognized registry. Minimum Work Experience: None Required Licenses/Certifications: Must possess Texas State Licensure, Mammography Advanced Certification, Must meet FDA and State of Texas requirements.
