The Clinic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for performing patient evaluations, consults, and reviews for both standard care and clinical research patients. They also educate patients on therapeutic options and collaborate with physicians to provide direct care interventions.
Candidates must be Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with at least one year of experience in a clinic or hospital setting, preferably with a background in gastroenterology or hepatology. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and relevant certifications are required.
Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Ability to problem solve with systems and processes Leadership skills Commitment to earning additional certifications/professional titles outside scope of work Ability to resourceful and consults resources before asking others for instruction Previous outpatient hepatology/gastroenterology experience as an NP or a PA preferred Experience in completing fibroscans for patients preferred Education and/or credentials and trainings required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program from an accredited institution Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with current RN and NP License required Graduate of a university program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education (ARCE) for the Physician Assistant with certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Active license to practice in Arizona Must maintain certifications as required by department or division Completion of GCP and IATA trainings at hire.
