The ER Tech performs direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or Physician, including tasks like EKG performance, phlebotomy, and splinting. They also assist with data collection, patient transport, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed ER Tech, EMT, or equivalent clinical training. One year of patient care experience or completion of one semester of clinical experience as a student nurse is required.

Under the direct supervision of the RN or Patient Care Manager, performs duties to care for the Emergency patients. This includes assisting the RN or Physician with direct patient care and performing EKG's, phlebotomy, splinting, point of care testing, data collection on temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure measurements, pain etc. Stocks supplies, sets up equipment, transports patients, performs constant observation and other related duties. Helps maintain a clean, ordered and safe work area.
