The Public Health Nurse will assess community health trends, investigate communicable diseases, and administer immunizations across Central Montana. They will also educate the public, collaborate with local agencies, and participate in emergency preparedness planning.
Candidates must hold a Registered Nursing degree and a current RN license, along with a valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications include a BSN and two years of public health nursing experience.

One Health is seeking a Public Health Nurse to deliver high-quality care, promote wellness, and lead health initiatives across Central Montana. Home base is Lewistown, MT however, this position is part of the Central Montana Health District sector of which serves 5 surrounding counties.
Assess community health trends and risks through targeted evaluations and data analysis. Investigate communicable diseases using public health surveillance and contact tracing methods. Administer immunizations in the office and at community clinics, ensuring proper documentation and patient education. Educate individuals, families, and groups with tailored health promotion and disease prevention strategies. Collaborate with local agencies and partners to develop and deliver impactful health programs. Advocate for vulnerable populations and contribute to health policy development. Respond to public health emergencies and participate in preparedness planning and drills.

Registered Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program Current RN license Valid driver’s license Certifications (Upon hire) BLS Certification National Incident Management System/Incident Command System (NIMS/ICS) 100, 200, and 700a certification within four (4) months of employment Preferred: BSN 2 years of public health nursing experience
