The Residential Psych Tech provides daily care, supervision, and behavioral support to youth within a residential treatment setting. They are responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting resident observations, and collaborating with the treatment team.
A high school degree or equivalent is required for this position. Candidates must be trained in behavioral management techniques and possess the ability to work effectively with youth in a stressful residential environment.
Summary: Residential Psych Tech (RPT) is a staff level employee who is a member of the cottage based treatment team and is responsible for providing day-to-day care and supervision of the children/residents and assists in the implementation of the individualized treatment plan of each resident as prescribed. RPT provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance abuse and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. RPT demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. RPT will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. RPT reports to the Cottage Supervisor.
