The registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by protecting, promoting, and optimizing health while preventing illness and injury. They also partner with patients and their families to document interventions and create individualized plans of care.
Candidates must have at least one year of professional experience in an Emergency Department, ICU, or three years in Med/Surg. A valid Minnesota Registered Nurse license, along with current ACLS and BLS certifications, is required.
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department This position is a 0.6 FTE (4 shifts/ pay period), 12-hour shifts, Nights, Every Third Weekend.
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by: Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health Preventing illness and injury Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
Certification in area of clinical specialty (CEN, TNCC, CTRN, CPEN, Or CFRN ) BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
