The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric clinical services according to professional standards, conducting comprehensive assessments, monitoring progress, and delivering evidence-based, culturally responsive interventions. Responsibilities also include completing all necessary medical documentation, coordinating care through referrals, and participating in quality improvement and credentialing processes.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited APRN program and be Board certified as a PMHNP-BC, maintaining valid and unrestricted Minnesota APRN and nursing licenses, along with a valid DEA number. A minimum of one year of previous group practice or related outpatient experience is required, along with the ability to function well independently and collaboratively.

PMHNP Required Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) program. Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws in Minnesota Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws in Minnesota Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances; Minimum of one year of previous group practice experience (or related outpatient practice experience) Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures 1099 Only: Ability to maintain adequate Professional Liability Insurance coverage.
