Perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating pediatric cardiac diseases. Evaluate patients with complex congenital heart disease and provide accurate quantitative data and preliminary reports.
Requires at least 3 years of Pediatric Echocardiography experience and RDCS Pediatric Specialty certification. BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Fairview Health Services is hiring a pediatric echocardiographer technician II to join our team at our M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN. The Echocardiographer performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases. As a Pediatric Echocardiographer, you will need to have the ability to evaluate pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disease, have basic knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathologic consequences of congenital malformations, and have basic knowledge of the 3 major categories of corrective procedures and the variations encountered.
3 years of Pediatric Echocardiography experience Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association or American Red Cross (Required within 90 days of hire) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) — Pediatric Specialty (Required upon hire)
5 years of Pediatric Echocardiography experience 3 years of Echocardiography experience 1 year of Fetal Echocardiography experience Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) — Fetal Specialty Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) — Adult Specialty
