• Responsibilities: The Outpatient Occupational Therapist will review the Physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to perform various physical activities and in the use of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses Outpatient Occupational Therapist records treatment, response, and progress in the patient's chart or enters information into the computer Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
