Requires an Associate's degree, a valid Registered Nurse state license, and BLS certification. Candidates must be able to function within the Texas Nurse Practice Act and communicate effectively within a healthcare team.
The MCC Clinical Registered Nurse—Intermediate provides direct nursing care to patients at the Mays Cancer Center. The nurse demonstrates independence when preparing equipment and aiding physicians during patient treatment and examination. The nurse works under the limited supervision of the department leadership.
