The GNA provides essential non-professional care and personal support to patients and residents within the Transitional Care Unit. Responsibilities include managing patient comfort and retrieving necessary medical supplies from secure areas.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and have completed a state-approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant course. A valid GNA license from the Maryland Board of Nursing and current CPR certification are required.
The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) will perform non-professional services to patients/residents of the Transitional Care Unit (TCU). The GNA will provide resident care services essential to caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients/residents of the TCU. Retrieves supplies from secure area. The GNA function may not exceed the standards of practice set forth by the certification process.

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
