The Endoscopy Technical Specialist assists physicians and nurses with direct patient care and equipment management during GI procedures. They also perform essential support tasks including endoscope reprocessing, supply stocking, and recovery room assistance.
Candidates must have at least one year of healthcare experience and obtain BLS certification within two weeks of hire. Completion of the SGNA GI Associates Program is required within one month of starting the position.

The Endoscopy Technical Specialist is responsible for performing delegated activities related to patient care and overall team support in the GI procedure room setting. Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, will assist with direct patient care during procedures and assist the physicians with necessary equipment (forceps, snares, balloons, etc) used during all procedure types.
The Endoscopy Technical Specialist will be responsible for performing all essential duties of the Endoscopy Technician which may include various patient care roles and duties outside of the procedure room, such as the recovery room, supply stocking, and endoscope reprocessing room.
