The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care services. They manage care within the framework of a Patient Centered Medical Home to promote proactive, team-based population management.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current CMA, RMA, and BLS/BCLS certifications are required, with one year of medical office experience preferred.
The MA, under the supervision of the Clinic Operations Manager, is responsible for performing a variety of duties while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to deliver optimal patient care services and manage care within the framework of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). The MA maintains an enhanced role within this model of care that promotes concepts of proactive team-based care, population management and principles of PCMH to develop a highly functional primary care workforce to provide higher quality care to a larger population.
