Provide physical therapy services to patients in a home health setting according to a plan of care developed by a professional physical therapist. Monitor patient progress, teach caregivers treatment procedures, and communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising therapist.
Requires successful completion of a two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Must hold a valid Texas driver's license and current Basic Life Support certification.
JOB SUMMARY Works under general supervision to provide technical assistance in administration of physical therapy treatment to patients. Responsible for providing physical therapy services for patients in strict compliance with plan of care developed by professional physical therapist. Will work in our southern sector. Required Education Successful completion of a two-year program for Physical Therapist Assistants, which meets standards established and approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Experience No experience required Licenses and Certifications (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Current BLS certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
