SUMMARY
- Assists the QA Program in auditing charts and ensuring data is furnished to the appropriate channels in a timely manner.
- Ensures compliance of documentation with external funding certification agencies and Red Rock policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing individual and group counseling to assigned population.
- Complete documentation requirements reflecting clinical necessity which meets program and agency standards.
- Interact regularly with other staff, including the Health Team, and treatment providers to assess and treat individuals with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems, including abuse of alcohol tobacco, and/or other drugs.
- Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, treatment planning, psycho-social assessments, client advocacy, prevention and education.
- Demonstrates competencies (or gaining competencies) in specific theoretical orientations, i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, etc.
- Completes required process for commercial insurance participation.
- Essential functions and responsibilities
- Follows guidelines and ensures compliance of clinical records for TXIX, ODMHSAS, CARF and other funding sources or regulatory agencies.
- Reviews clinical records for funding source and accreditation standards and collaborates with staff to correct charts and educate on compliance requirements.
- Holds office hours for staff and serves as a local resource for staff.
- Provides hands on training for staff as needed.
- Ensure clinical knowledge is current.
- Works with QA Program Director to ensure QA Program Goals are being met.
- Assists in data collection and ensures data is appropriately tracked and furnished to Data Analyst.
- Attends staff meetings, workshops and seminars to learn agency policies, rules, regulations, and procedures; participates in ongoing in-service training as well as pertinent external training.
- Maintain knowledge of programmatic goals and objectives.
- Continues to perform in their clinical role on site.

- Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
- Completes intakes, develops treatment plans, determines clinical diagnosis and refers clients to appropriate resources internally or externally
- Prepares, plans, facilitates, and implements direct care of consumers through groups and/or individual therapy
- Participates in treatment team meetings providing information pertinent to welfare of consumer for supervision
- Provides crisis assistance and consults with various third parties as deemed appropriate
- Serves as a primary liaison to health part of core team and coordinates between all Health Team members as necessary
- Coordinates input from all team members into the comprehensive treatment plan
- Supervises students and other clinical support staff when required for attainment of programmatic goals
- May provide training of specialized nature when required
- Assists in the development and implementation of programmatic goals and objectives
- Maintains confidentiality and informs consumers of rights and obtains necessary authorization for obtaining and releasing information
- Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
- Maintains effective working relationships and strategic alliances with consumers, other staff, the community and other non-profit organizations
- Seeks supervision as appropriate for safety of consumers and adherence to Policy and Procedures
- Possesses experience working form specific theoretical orientation, i.e., CBT, Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, etc.
- Credentials or able to credential with private insurance panels and assists with the process in a timely manner
- Builds rapport and working partnerships with relevant local, state, and federal government agencies
- Promotes community education projects to help increase awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & Acute Mental Health Crises
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health related filed and licensure (LADC, LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
- Strong computer knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Work and other relevant programs
- Self-starter and innovative thinker
- Good written or oral communication skills

- Must have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must have the ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 25 pounds
