The Monitor Technician is responsible for observing cardiac monitors and reporting rhythm changes to the nursing staff. They must also demonstrate knowledge of age-specific patient needs and perform incidental duties as required.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the successful completion of a basic dysrhythmia course. Previous experience in an acute care or clinical setting, such as an EMT role, is preferred.
