Assists the anesthesia provider with patient care activities, including monitoring, airway management, and the setup of specialized equipment. Manages anesthesia supplies, maintains equipment functionality, and ensures a sterile and orderly environment for surgical procedures.
Requires graduation from an accredited Anesthesia Technology program or ASATT certification, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting equipment and standing for extended periods.
Assists the Anesthesia provider under the supervision of the Chief of Anesthesiology, or designee. Practices in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies and procedures.
Certificate of training for Drager, GE, or other anesthesia delivery systems, if not a graduate of a program. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center. Associate Degree Notes: This is an on call position, days and hours may vary.
