Direct Support Staff (DSP) - Make a Difference Daily!

Join our team and support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living independent, meaningful lives in their own homes and day programs. Build relationships, teach life skills, and assist with daily routines in a rewarding, purpose-driven role.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management

Able to pass a background check

Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting

Observe and report any changes in individuals' behavior or health status

Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents

Foster effective communication and build positive relationships with individuals and their families

Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality of care

Patience and Understanding

Strong caregiving skills with a focus on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals and their families
Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide personal care
Experience in group home settings or long-term care is a plus, but not required
Basic knowledge of first aid and safety protocols is beneficial
Willingness to learn and adapt in a caregiving environment

*No Prior Experience Necessary – Paid Training Provided!

Experience with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, including autism, acquired brain injury, down syndrome, and many other unique needs
DSP caregiving skills
Knowledge of medical, psychological, and social supports
Positive Behavior Supports, relationship building, and communication skills

$16-$17 per hour
Full-Time (30+ hrs) or Part-Time employment
Morning, Day, Evening, Overnight, and On-Call shifts available, depending on location
$250 Sign-On Bonus upon completion of training
