Role Summary We are currently seeking a reliable, compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide early morning support for a child in a foster home setting. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and can provide consistent structure, gentle guidance, and attentive supervision. The child thrives in an environment that is calm, predictable, and supportive.

• PM to 6:30 PM Ideal for those seeking part-time hours in the afternoon/evening.

Key Responsibilities Assist with morning routines and daily structure Provide active supervision to ensure safety Support transitions (wake-up, meals, preparing for the day) Engage in age-appropriate play and activities Use calm, supportive strategies to assist with emotional regulation Maintain a predictable and organized environment Communicate effectively with caregivers and care team

Qualifications

Required: 18 years or older High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Current auto insurance Ability to pass a background check OIS (Oregon Intervention System) certification (or willingness to obtain during training) Preferred: Experience working with children or in caregiving roles Background in behavioral support or IDD services Strong patience, consistency, and communication skills CPR/First Aid certification
