The Medical Assistant supports MDs, NPs, and PAs in performing clinical procedures and providing individualized care across various patient age groups. Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, and calibrating medical equipment.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with a preference for at least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic. CPR certification is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records like Epic or Meditech.
The Medical Assistant I demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. Additionally, the MAI demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment.

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
