The Physical Therapy Assistant will work directly with patients in their homes to implement rehabilitation programs, perform therapeutic exercises, and administer physical modalities. They are responsible for documenting patient progress and collaborating with the Physical Therapist to adjust care plans as needed.
Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Science or Applied Science and possess an active PTA license in the state of Ohio. Additionally, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current CPR certification, and a recent TB test are required.
Must be willing to travel to patients’ homes to provide care. Previous experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or other areas preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills. Ability to build rapport with in-home patients, Physical Therapist (PT) and Assisted Living Facility (ALF)/Independent Living Facility (ILF staff), as necessary. Work in a fast-paced, flexible work environment. Must be able to handle the physical workload with kindness, compassion, and empathy. Strong leadership qualities. Why Summit?
