The Physical Therapist evaluates patients, establishes care plans, and delivers physical therapy services. They ensure safe patient care and maintain accurate documentation while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and a New Mexico Physical Therapist license. One year of experience is preferred, along with current AHA BLS certification.
Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, establishing a plan of care and treating patients who require physical therapy services. S/he delivers patient care within accepted boundaries of Physical Therapy Practice as defined by the New Mexico State Board of Physical Therapy, standards and policies accepted by the American Physical Therapy Association, Gila Regional Medical Center and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy New Mexico Physical Therapist license Current AHA BLS Ability to pass the Rehab Department Aquatic Competency test within 90 days of hire if aquatic therapy will be part of work/treatment requirements
