Description South Texas Mental Health Associates in Corpus Christi, Texas, is seeking to add a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to our growing mental health team. We provide comprehensive patient-oriented care to address mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, ADHD, schizophrenia, and more.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong psychopharmacology and behavioral health background, with experience in outpatient settings. This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients, including those with developmental disabilities and addiction issues. The Psychiatrist will conduct diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This position will be 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient work, with one required weekend per month and two holidays per year.
Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Psychiatry. Board Certified or Board Eligible with plan to take Boards within 3 years. Experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry is a plus. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and practices. Familiarity with outpatient psychiatric care settings. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations. Commitment to compassionately providing high-quality patient care.
