The role involves providing comprehensive diagnostic assessments, developing individualized recovery care plans, and facilitating substance use and mental health treatment. The specialist also models evidence-based practices, provides clinical consultation to staff, and ensures program compliance with agency and certification standards.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field and meet state criteria for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). At least one year of full-time experience in treating substance use disorders is required, along with appropriate clinical licensure or board qualification.
Integrated Treatment Specialists work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, modeling integrated treatment skills and training other staff in evidence-based practice principles and practice.
The Diagnostician is responsible for providing a comprehensive assessment. The Diagnostician will assess all problem areas, recommend an appropriate level of care and develop an interpretative summary from which individualized recovery care plan goals are developed.
