The Phlebotomist 1 is responsible for the collection and delivery of medical specimens. They also handle clerical duties such as verifying orders, stocking supplies, and providing customer service.
A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required for this position. Candidates must also possess basic computer competency.
Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures and professional guidelines, the Phlebotomist 1 is responsible for the collection and delivery of specimens. Assists with clerical task such as verifying an order, collating collection batches, clearing an un-received specimen log, cleaning and stocking trays and carts, and customer service when necessary. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Basic Computer competency is required.
