The Registered Nurse provides competent care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of care plans for cardiac patients. They also participate in the hospital's Medical Response Team and provide ICU-level care for conditions such as heart failure, sepsis, and shock.
Candidates must hold an Associate Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing and possess a valid Virginia or Compact RN license. Experience in ICU, intermediate/stepdown care, or medical/surgical units is required, along with BLS and ACLS certifications.
