Requires a Bachelor's degree in a social service field and a valid PA Driver's License. Preferred candidates have a Master's degree, professional licensure (LCSW/LPC), or experience with trauma-informed approaches.

As a Behavioral Health Counselor- (High Engagement Team) You will be responsible for providing integrated treatment supporting the needs of both behavioral and physical health care to clients admitted to Berks Counseling Center. This would include clinical treatment modalities and supporting documentation. This position is community based, when clinically necessary.
To qualify for the position, you will need… Bachelor’s degree in a related social service field. At least three (3) months direct counseling and substance abuse counseling experience (or relevant internship) preferred Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable. CAC or other PCB Certification required within one year of employment. A valid PA Driver’s License and the ability to drive, travel, and provide community-oriented services. Preferred candidates will … Master’s degree in a related social service field. LCSW or LPC applicants with counseling experience in drug, alcohol, and mental health preferred. Knowledge of or experience with trauma-informed approaches preferred. Be Bilingual: English/Spanish Physical Requirements: SEEING: Must be able to see well enough to read reports and use computer. COMMUNICATING: Must be able to communicate to clients, vendors, and coworkers. MOBILITY: Must have mobility to move about the agency. LIFTING/PULLING/PUSHING: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. OTHER: Must be able to write, type, and use technology.
