The Certified Anesthesia Technologist assists the anesthesia provider with patient care activities, equipment setup, and monitoring during various surgical and emergency procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining anesthesia equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring a sterile and functional work environment.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program or hold ASATT certification, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment and standing for extended periods, as well as proficiency in anesthesia department procedures.
Assists the Anesthesia provider under the supervision of the Chief of Anesthesiology, or designee. Practices in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies and procedures.
Certificate of training for Drager, GE, or other anesthesia delivery systems, if not a graduate of a program. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center. Associate Degree Notes: This is an on-call position, working days and hours may vary within the specified shift Weekends required
