The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides patient care focusing on mental disorders, abnormal behavior, and lifestyle improvement through counseling and psychotherapy. They also serve as a consultant to other healthcare personnel within the Behavioral Health department.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse Practitioner with a psychiatric/mental health specialty and ANCC certification. A minimum of three years of experience in psychiatric or medical social work is required, along with a current BLS certification.
NP Registered Nurse Practitioner – State Board of Registered Nursing required. Focus/Specialty - Psychiatric/mental health required. Specialty Certifications - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center required. Three years previous experience in psychiatric/medical social work is required. Substance abuse and/or addiction experience preferred. Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment. Pediatric experience preferred. OCH is an Equal Opportunity Employer
