The Patient Care Tech performs vital signs and patient care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse. They are responsible for documenting patient data, maintaining safety standards, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it. Previous experience in patient care and certification as a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant are preferred.

The Patient Care Tech performs patient care and unit functions under the direction of a registered nurse as a part of the health care team. Responsible for communicating completed assigned tasks to the registered nurse. Responsible for following established organization and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines of the hospital. Supports the philosophy and goals of OSS Orthopaedic Hospital.
Night Shift 12-hours, 3 days a week (72 hrs bi-weekly). 1 minor holiday, 1 major holiday, every 4th weekend.
