The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive primary healthcare services across the female lifespan, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care. They work within an interdisciplinary team to manage patient health, perform clinical assessments, and provide health education in a clinic setting.
Candidates must hold a Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice with a specialty in Midwifery and possess a current APRN license in Mississippi. Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife from the AMCB and current BLS/CPR certification are required.

The CNM focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of maternal and reproductive health within a clinic/outpatient setting.
