Certified Pharmacy Technician

What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
• And
• One or more of the following
• Required: Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration. Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.

Education

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Note

Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
