Pay Range $47.50 - $71.25 The Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Program at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC is looking for a Pediatric Advanced Care Practitioner to join their inpatient APP team. The inpatient APP will function within a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive care for children and young adults with various oncologic and hematologic diagnoses in our Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital.
About the
Opportunity: · Manages pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses requiring level of inpatient progressive care, and coordinate escalated level of care as the patient requires. · Rounds daily with all members of the multidisciplinary team to collaboratively develop patient’s care plan. · Implements evidence based medicine as outlined by best practice guidelines, and assigned patient treatment protocols · Writes chemotherapeutic order sets. Prescribes medications, manages side effects, and monitors for toxicities. · Performs diagnostic and surveillance intraoperative procedures such as lumbar punctures with instillation of intrathecal chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirates and bone marrow biopsies · Participate in quality improvement and committees · Provider group of 14 physicians, and 18 advanced practice providers ·
Schedule: Part time = 24 hrs/week (12 hr) shifts/week (7 am – 7 pm); weekend and holiday coverage on a rotation
