The Youth Counselor will conduct diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual therapy using evidence-based practices. They are also responsible for delivering crisis intervention services and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams.
Candidates must have experience working with youth and families, along with knowledge of mental health diagnoses and clinical documentation. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally are required for the role.

Why you’ll love working at Appleseed Supportive team environment with accessible leadership Integrated care model with collaboration across programs Flexibility to help support work-life balance Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Meaningful work that directly impacts your community What you’ll do Complete diagnostic assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans Provide individual therapy and support using evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and family systems Deliver crisis intervention services (in-person and by phone during office hours) Coordinate care with internal teams and external providers Advocate for clients and support access to needed services Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with agency standards Participate in team meetings to support a collaborative care approach What we’re looking for Experience working with youth, families, and/or groups with behavioral health needs Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and DSM-5/ICD-10 Experience with or understanding of: Motivational Interviewing Trauma-Informed Care Crisis Intervention Family Systems approaches Strong commitment to client rights and ethical practice Preferred: Master’s degree with LISW or LPCC licensure Also considered: Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience
