Conduct comprehensive eye exams and diagnose sight problems or ocular diseases to provide appropriate treatments and prescriptions. Establish long-term patient relationships through education and coordinate care with support staff and other healthcare providers.
Candidates must hold a Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution. Successful completion of all optometric state boards is required.
