Job description

Individuals within this job classification are accountable for assessing,\nplanning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in\naccordance with OSUMC standards to deliver efficient, effective, and quality\npatient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to demonstrate the\nknowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the\npatients served on the assigned unit. This individual must demonstrate\nknowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span,\npossess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, and\ninterpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's\nrequirements relative to their age-specific needs. The RN is to plan for the\nprovision of patient care including the development, modification, and\nimplementation of the plan of care in accordance with OSUMC standards to deliver\nefficient, effective, and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care\npolicies and procedures. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules\nand regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act. This position\nis a 13-week assignment.
