Responsible for the skilled delivery of patient care, including administering medication and performing phlebotomy and point of care testing. Tasks also include triaging patients and maintaining electronic medical records.
Requires a High School diploma or GED and BLS certification. RMA or CMA certifications are preferred.
A Medical Assistant is responsible for skilled delivery of patient care and procedures; administrating medication, knowledge of immunizations, point of care testing, experience with phlebotomy, triaging patients, and direct patient care, knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills, possess ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment as required. Efficiency in use of EMR (electronic medical records) and additional clinical tasks may be assigned.
